Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate's Animals and Activities
Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate is fenced in securely and it monitored 24/7 by a private security force. The fences are in fact more for protection from animals than from people as Hoedspruit is in fact one of the safest places in the country thanks to our Town Watch. The fences prevent big game, such as lions and elephants, from crossing the boundary into the Wildlife Estate and keep in the plains game. You can expect to see impala, warthog, zebra, giraffe, nyala, kudu and a few sable have been recently introduced!
On the estate itself you can walk, cycle and run on the various routes through the bush which are all marked or you could even sign up for a horse ride with the estate's Equestrian Centre. Going on a game drive on the estate is also possible but we recommend organizing yours at one of the nearby Estate's with big game, most accommodations will be happy to help you with all activities. Outside of the estate in town you can go hot air ballooning, quad biking, go for a boat cruise or even a helicopter flip. If you're willing to travel a bit further there's the Panorama Route, Pilgrims Rest, Magoebaskloof white water rafting and of course a hundred divine restaurants and bars in-between it all.
